Tacocat Interactive for Apple Vision Pro

Effective date:

This section applies specifically to the Tacocat Interactive app for Apple Vision Pro. Where the other sections of this policy describe accounts, billing, uploaded content, analytics, or hosted services, those descriptions do not apply to this app. Websites opened from the app and support messages you choose to send are covered by the relevant sections of our website privacy policy.

No account or data collection by Tacocat. The app works without an account and has no Tacocat backend, advertising, analytics, or tracking. We do not receive your room information, hand movements, microphone audio, recognized voice commands, selected photos or videos, or saved sculptures through the app. The app does not sell or share this information with advertisers.

Optional room and hand access. If you enable room portals or physics in the immersive object playground, Apple’s ARKit processes nearby surfaces to place virtual portals or let cubes land on floors and tables. If you enable hand trails, hand tracking places visual effects at your fingertips. These features require your permission, operate during the experience, and do not save room maps or hand movement histories. The floating portal and object playground remain usable without these permissions; physics uses a virtual floor when room access is unavailable.

Optional voice controls. Tapping Voice starts a short microphone session only after you grant microphone and speech-recognition permissions. The app requires on-device English speech recognition; it does not fall back to cloud recognition. Listening stops after a command, cancellation, an interruption, or a ten-second listening timeout. Audio and transcripts are not saved by the app or sent to Tacocat. This feature may be unavailable when on-device recognition is unsupported or its language resources are unavailable.

Photos and videos you select. Apple’s system photo picker gives the app access only to the media you choose. The app uses temporary local copies for display, spatial playback, and optional on-device depth generation. It removes these copies when replaced or when the gallery closes. An interrupted app may leave a temporary copy until the next app launch, when abandoned imports are removed. The app does not upload your media or access the rest of your photo library. Apple may download your selected media from iCloud according to your Photos settings.

Saved sculptures. If you tap Save, the app stores one sculpture’s cube positions, rotations, sizes, and material choice in its local app storage. A later save replaces it. Delete it in About the studio → Delete saved sculpture, or by deleting the app. Device backups and restores are managed by Apple and your device settings. The app does not provide account sync or sharing.

Your choices. All sensitive permissions are optional. You can stop listening, disable room or hand features, leave an experience, and change permissions in device Settings. Standard buttons remain available when voice control is unavailable. No camera, contact, location, or full photo-library permission is requested by this app.

Support and privacy questions. Contact support@tacocat.me. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include so we can respond. Avoid including private photos, recordings, or room information unless it is necessary for your support request.
